Brenna Blount is a licensed special educator and educational consultant, who offers years of professional experience working with students, families, educational communities, and organizations.
As a learning specialist and executive functioning coach, she has a wide breadth of knowledge and experience to serve students in lower school, middle school, high school, and college, who have differences that impact their learning (i.e., ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, language processing disorders). Brenna is trained in the Seeing My Time® curriculum, a brain-based approach to supporting the time management skills of planning and organization. She additionally integrates research-based interventions such as Seeing Stars, Visualizing and Verbalizing, LiPS, and On Cloud Nine.
Her expertise in the area of special education also helps parents navigate the educational needs that coincide with their child’s learning and development. She is adept at identifying appropriate goals, objectives, and accommodations while making sure they are properly documented and implemented.
Brenna earned her master's degree in teaching with certifications in early childhood, elementary, and special education from Notre Dame of Maryland University. She is the recipient of the 2014 Sister Marie Xavier Looymans Award for “her commitment to teaching as a vocation, superior skill in applying research-based teaching methods, respect and kindness in all professional relationships, and ability to inspire and motivate students and colleagues to highest levels of professional performance.”
She founded BB Learning Services, LLC in 2019 to provide more individualized educational services with encouragement, hope, and guidance for families.
